“The best choice, is no choice”, said the Yogi.

We are stronger than we think, and certainly stronger than we act. Our window to the world is filled with a never ending array of options, and an absence of discipline. A suspect formula.

As such, we waiver amidst choices throughout our day. Over time, establishing a screening mechanism, one that evaluates and simultaneously judges, everything in front of us. Sounds like a first world problem! With the best tools available to us, committing remains elusive.

In theory, we should be able to optimize all scenarios. Trouble is, our minds think, it might not be the best choice, or the next option either, and so on. We sometimes wallow in deliberation, or cast off haphazardly, following a path of lessor resistance.

The example of a mother, single-handedly lifting a car off of her injured child, reveals the massive storehouse of power within each of us. Trouble is, or the good thing is, we are rarely called upon to manifest this level of certainty. When we are, it becomes an out of body experience, wholly focused in the present moment, and we deliver.

Recall our moments of magnificence, where we surprise even ourselves in what we are capable of doing. When we have no choice, we quiet the mind, and our true strength shines. Expressed another way, “If you must, you can!”

Discard distractions and practice mastering commitment.
